Aruba Networks, Inc., a company that specializes in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions, has announced that company’s 802.11n high-speed wireless LAN has won 2009 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award from Technology Marketing Corporation’sINTERNET TELEPHONY” magazine.

TMC (News - Alert) recognized Aruba for its contributions to Boston Medical Center, a 626-bed hospital and academic medical center located in Boston’s historic South End.

Boston Medical Center has deployed Aruba’s 802.11n solution that provided a flexible wireless infrastructure on which the hospital could reliably and securely deliver clinical data, Vocera (News - Alert) voice and guest Internet access applications.

Officials at Aruba said that their 802.11n solution is designed to meet the demanding requirements of the largest enterprises, offering security, high throughput, streaming video support and other key features previously available only in more expensive devices.

The AP-124/125 Access Points in the solution features 803.2af Power over Ethernet operation, dual gigabit Ethernet ports with Secure Jack access control, high throughput rates over long ranges, and FIPS 140-2 validation. The AP-105, AP-124, and AP-125 are all covered by Aruba’s limited lifetime warranty.

To ensure that wireless devices work at peak performance at all times, Aruba’s Adaptive Radio Management technology automatically optimizes WiFi (News - Alert) performance even in challenging RF environments.

Erik Linask, group editorial director of INTERNET TELEPHONY, said that the editors of the magazine were pleased to grant Aruba with an award for its achievements in advancing IP communications and providing genuine solutions in the marketplace.

“Aruba’s 802.11n solution has made an incredible contribution to IP Communications and has also delivered great solutions for its clients,” said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO at TMC.

INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine presents an unmatched mix of product focused and strategic editorial, since1998. It is known as the first place buyers turn when they need to learn about VoIP/IP communications products and services.
