TelcoBridges Announces Two New Computer Telephony Platforms

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

TelcoBridges, a supplier of hardware and software for telecom system integrators, solution developers and service providers, has announced two new members of the Tdev family of products - the TMP5900 and TMP7900 computer telephony platforms.

“The strategy behind these new additions is to provide a product for every client need, while maintaining the density, performance and scalability of our brand,” said Gaetan Campeau (News - Alert), president and founder of TelcoBridges.

The new models offers “significant” increases in speed, processing power and storage capabilities, according to company officials. This enables solutions developers to incorporate a wider array of value added service options into their telephony solutions.

The additions to the Tdev line of computer telephony platforms meet the needs of solutions developers creating value added services for their service provider customers, said Campeau.

Company officials said that the TMP5900 leverages TelcoBridges’ (News - Alert) Toolpack software, enabling developers to build and deploy customized solutions, including unified communications (UC), conferencing, Fax over IP, location-based services, SMS capabilities, ring-back tones, pre and post-paid calling, and more.

The TMP5900 offers a full-featured, quad-core, Intel (News - Alert) Xeon-based host with 500GB of RAID-1 storage, said company officials. Additionally, it can run additional applications, such as soft-switches and session border controllers on the same device.

Moreover, with separate chipsets for signaling, transcoding, and interactive voice response (IVR), the TMP5900 provides full non-blocking capability of up to 2048 universal voice channels per device.

The second offering, TelcoBridges’ Tdev TMP7900 is a high capacity, carrier-grade CTI (News - Alert) development platform designed for solutions developers interested in expanding VAS, and also consolidating multiple racks of devices - for call control and media - into a single system.

Tdev TMP7900 features multiple redundant quad-core Intel Xeon-based hosts with multi-terabyte local RAID-1 storage. Company officials said that this offering provides a greater level of scalability - to a capacity of 1024 T1/E1/J1, 48 DS-3 or 16 STM-1 interfaces, and up to 32,768 non-blocking universal voice ports.

Like TMP5900, TMP7900 also supports capabilities such as the ability to run additional applications, including soft-switches and session border controllers locally.
Plus, the carrier-grade TMP7900 provides redundancy across all hardware and software elements.
