Doddle Intros New Service For Integrating VoIP Offerings into Websites

Doddle, a provider of internet telephony solutions, has reportedly introduced its new service that enables users to make VoIP calls anywhere in the world right from their webpages through the Web based SIP phone by Doddle.
Users don’t need to register with Doddle’s free online phone service, and can access VoIP just by accessing a webpage.
Additionally, users can integrate Doddle’s web based phone into their web applications, websites, portals, social networks and blogs such as Facebook, MySpace (News - Alert), Orkut, Blogger and more, to allow the web visitors make calls directly from the webpage.
The company has developed a free linked phone gadget that can be embedded in the webpages to add a webphone or click2talk feature to the webpage. The gadget is equipped with various options and features so that users can offer completely customizable solution for both personal and business use upon the website.
Primarily serving as a webphone for blogs, homepages, social networks and virtual business cards, the Doddle’s internet telephony service can be customized to fulfill the nees of internet service and VoIP providers, IT companies and small office home office, or “SOHO,” owners. The service is fully compatible with SIP, so that it can be easily integrated with VoIP providers.
It also supports VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter, or “ATA,” hardware, and offers capability for server side integration through various web development platforms and languages such as J2EE or Java, .NET (News - Alert) and PHP. The websites can also deploy its JavaScript API at Mac OS X, Windows and Linux based web servers to offer dynamic features to the end users.
Unlike the dedicated internet telephony services, the Doddle’s services doesn’t need the users to keep their computers powered on to receive calls, and has been equipped with advanced features such as WebPhone, Click2Call, Call Me Button, and Phonebook. Users of Doddle’s web-driven phone service can easily add SIP-based calls features in their web applications without downloading any desktop application. All the prominent web browers offer support to Doddle’s webphone in both PC and Mac environments.
The new service by Doddle is based upon open standard SIP VoIP protocol, allowing clients to use their own VoIP account or even a homed IPBX and telephone adapter. Users can customize it by selecting new skins to match the look and feel of existing web applications. It features web 2.0 interface for convenient customization and branding.
Recently, Doddle had offered a free online SIP web phone through which users can make phone calls from within a webpage. The service supported a number of VoIP providers, and the users could also fill it with their own SIP settings details.
