SecureLogix Releases New Version of ETM System

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

SecureLogix has announced the availability of version 6.0 of its ETM System, featuring new IP Telephony security, intelligence, and network management capabilities for enterprise voice/UC networks running session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking services.

A comprehensive firewall security, performance monitoring, call reporting/analytics and call recording solution, the ETM System offers enterprise-wide policy enforcement and unified intelligence across enterprise networks with mixed vendors and services.

The traditional enterprise voice networks are becoming increasingly difficult to secure and efficiently manage as they are evolving into SIP based services and unified communications (UC) environments, noted David Heard, vice president of marketing at SecureLogix, in a release. He said today’s enterprise communications networks often contain a complex mix of multi-vendor switch types and a blend of traditional TDM and new SIP services; and believed that there is little interoperability across this infrastructure, making it difficult to achieve unified security policy enforcement and intelligence.

“SecureLogix can help customers meet their UC security and management needs to lower expenses, strengthen compliance, and enhance their business operations through all stages of communications convergence,” Heard said in the release.

The newest version of the ETM System enhances the TDM security capabilities with additional VoIP/UC security features. It provides unified policy enforcement and enterprise-wide protection against TDM- and SIP-based toll fraud, unauthorized network access, social engineering attacks and identity theft schemes, service abuse and financial losses, harassing or unwanted callers, and sensitive data leakage and theft.

Additionally, ETM System v6.0 delivers unified voice network intelligence across any mix of TDM or VoIP switch types and multi-vendor UC devices and endpoints.

Company officials said these centralized visibility and management capabilities can help lower costs and simplify management of complex UC environments via network optimization and planning, traffic reporting and analytics, service performance monitoring and troubleshooting, call recording, and business operations intelligence.

SecureLogix is a UC intelligence and security company. The company’s sixth generation solutions enable customers to save money through securing and optimizing IP Telephony and legacy voice networks, allowing cost efficient migration to tomorrow’s UC.

In August, the company formed a sales and marketing relationship with View Communications, a provider of voice and IP communication systems and services for enterprises across the U.K. The agreement calls on View Communications to market, sell and provide integration services for the SecureLogix ETM System to its customers and prospects across Europe.
