AVST Offers Cost Saving Incentives for Nortel Customers

Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a developer of communications solutions for businesses of all sizes, has reportedly unveiled the Nortel Investment Protection Program, which is aimed at offering cost savings incentives for Nortel telephony customers who wish to upgrade to Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC).
This new future proof program is designed to upgrade Nortel users to CallXpress 8 which offers interoperability and delivers advanced call processing, voicemail, unified messaging, personal assistant, fax, speech and notification capabilities.
The launch of the program also helps organizations to protect and extend existing data and telephony infrastructure investments and safely migrate and rebuild future communication infrastructures.
"Our focus and commitment is to deliver best of breed UC applications that provide Nortel (News - Alert) customers with the ability to protect and maximize their current and future voice and data investments, while gaining the productivity benefits today," said Denny Michael, vice president of Marketing at AVST (News - Alert).
As part of the program, AVST said it will also be offering a limited time future proof incentive to Nortel customers who wish to enhance their communications infrastructure with CallXpress. These incentives include; Stimulus Package Pricing CallXpress that offers stimulus package pricing including advanced call processing and voicemail functionality.
In addition, the company is offering 50 unified messaging and personal assistant user licenses; free alternate Telephone User Interface (TUI) Select from a variety of TUIs that mimic the Nortel Meridian Mail, Octel, and other popular first generation voicemail systems to minimize re-training; free on-line administrative training course where, administrators can quickly learn to configure and maintain their CallXpress system in this self-paced web training course; a 'Future Proofing Guarantee' which provides with certain limited exceptions, an IP or TDM software integration at no additional charge.
