XCast (News - Alert) Labs Inc., a Los Angeles-based provider of advanced Software-as-a-Service, announced today at Technology Marketing Corporation’s Internet Telephony Conference and Expo (ITEXPO (News - Alert)) West 2009 that it signed on two private cable operators as customers, American Cable Services in Florida and Suite Solutions Technologies in Ohio.
Under the agreements, XCast Labs will offer digital voice and video service to the two companies. XCast Labs unveiled its new customers at TMC’s (News - Alert) ITEXPO tradeshow, which runs today through Sept. 3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Visitors can check out the company in booth #439.
American Cable Services President Jim George said the addition of XCast Labs’ services will help the company better compete against AT&T’s triple play offering.
“XCast offered us the best combination of price and quality,” George said in a statement. “We tested their service in some poorly served, out-of-the-way areas, and it worked flawlessly every time.”
The Ocala, Fla,-based company offers VoIP, Internet, computer networking, intercom, security, and among other services. In addition, ACS (News - Alert) helps partners, project coordinators and construction crews design homes and buildings to meet the builders’ and residents’ communications, data and security needs.
Meanwhile, Tom Hamway, CEO and president, Suite Solutions Technology, said XCast Labs’ products, particularly its video phones, caught company officials’ attention.
"We chose XCast Labs because its products include things like video phones and because they are willing to work with us to meet our specific needs,” Hamway said in a statement. “XCast Labs will help us stay ahead of the technology curve as Voice-over-IP evolves, while keeping our costs at a level that makes the phone business profitable for us."
The Toldeo, Ohio-based company provides high-speed Internet, cable TV and digital satellite services to nearly 10,000 customers in residential apartment and condominium communities throughout six states.
XCast Labs CEO and Founder Cliff Rees said more private cable operators are taking advantage of the company’s digital voice and video platform. Rees, who presented in a session earlier today at ITEXPO, said XCast Labs supports customers with an integrated back office system, a 99 percent uptime and additional features compared to competitors. Another feature is XCast can activate service for within a 10- to 15-day period, compared to other service providers that require several months, Rees said.
