Telcordia, a developer of IP wireline and mobile telecommunications software and services announced the availability of Telcordia Mobile ID. This is an advanced subscriber information management solution which provides Communication Service Providers and content providers secure and accurate information and intelligence about their mobile subscriber base.

 

Also Mobile ID will enable CSPs to deliver targeted content and services to mobile subscribers. It helps operators to offer compatible third party content to subscribers resulting in positive customer experience.

 

CSPs will be able to extrapolate data points regarding the usage patterns of customers, type of mobile device they use, location-based information, peak periods of use and most often used services like voice, SMS, VoIP to arrive at an optimum mix of value added services (VAS). This will appeal to consumers and help CSPs and mobile content providers to realize high revenues, said the company.

The introduction of mobile number portability allows subscribers to keep the same mobile numbers even when changing their carriers. As routing information may not be available to track these numbers content providers faced problems due to portability.

 

Telcordia is a supplier of number portability solutions with maximum number portability deployments. This position allows Mobile ID to provide authoritative, secure and accurate routing information for every mobile number so that all content including voice and messaging reaches the subscriber quickly.

Telcordia also provides country-specific dialing data which has more than one million dial codes covering 230 markets used for global routing, rating and billing of traditional Public Switched Telephone Network voice traffic, mobile traffic, and VoIP and SMS traffic, and other multimedia services.

 

The company explained that with changes in dialing code and numbering plans, updates are made into the Mobile ID platform. This allows auditing and analysis of service provider’s internal dial-code data for assessment of operational revenues.
