CallWave Unveils Web Conferencing App for iPhone

CallWave, Inc., a provider of unified communication applications, has announced the release of “Fuze Meeting,” a new app for the iPhone.
Fuze Meeting is a Web conferencing tool that allows conducting online meetings rather than traveling to far off places. It’s said to be the easiest and most cost-effective way to hold online meetings, period, according to the company. Users can download Fuze Meeting from Apple’s (News - Alert) iTunes App Store for free.
Users get instant messaging, HD video sharing, desktop sharing and full-featured conference call management in one easy-to-use iPhone application. It helps users to login simultaneously to Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Jabber, Google (News - Alert) Talk and can also watch and listen to HD-quality video and audio.

Users can also start meetings, invite participants, fetch them into the session, mute and un-mute lines – all from a singular interface on their iPhone (News - Alert). They can also view meeting participants’ desktops, files and presentations on-the-go in real-time while synced with the meeting presenter.
CallWave has integrated WebMessenger (News - Alert) technology in Fuze that enables seamless integration with Microsoft Office Communication Server (OCS), allowing enterprises to extend desktop functionality to mobile devices.
“We believe the market for mobile applications is still in its infancy and that applications like Fuze Meeting for the iPhone are paving the way for innovation in this growing space,” said Patrick Moran, vice president of marketing for CallWave.

He added, “In just a few days, we’ve already seen great interest in our iPhone app and have received fantastic customer feedback from this powerful base of users, validating the need for HD video and screensharing capabilities in an easy-to-use, intuitive application.”
