TMCnet Contributing Editor
DataPath, Inc., a provider of satellite and wireless communications networks, and KoolSpan, Inc., which develops TrustChip connectivity solutions for mission-critical network devices, reportedly will deliver innovative managed secure voice communications to government and commercial operations.
KoolSpan (News - Alert) officials said that the company’s TrustChip Voice will enable secure voice communication, and TrustCenter will be added to DataPath’s world-class Network Operations Center for ease of management and scale.
“TrustChip Voice and TrustCenter are excellent products that help us expand our portfolio of managed secure voice services to both current and prospective customers,” said Brian Symonds, vice president of global services at DataPath (News - Alert).
Symonds said that TrustChip Voice and TrustCenter will be especially critical in markets where there is a clear need for secure mobile communications on existing cellular infrastructure.
Company officials claimed that KoolSpan’s TrustChip technology is designed to make use of industry standard SD memory slots (micro, mini and full-size) available on cell phones, computers and other devices.
KoolSpan TrustChips feature a streamlined device-to-device architecture, providing host devices strong mutual authentication and fully encrypted network connectivity.
“We are pleased to work with DataPath, one of the world’s leading managed communication services providers,” said Mike Maurer, KoolSpan’s area director.
Maurer said that DataPath’s state-of-the-art NOC (News - Alert) provides the ideal environment for TrustChip Voice delivery.
Based in Bethesda, Maryland, KoolSpan is an innovator of simple secure connectivity solutions that seamlessly unite mission-critical network devices.
From smartphones to servers, KoolSpan’s TrustChip crypto engine creates secure and trusted connections between any two points independent of network boundaries.
In February, KoolSpan announced general availability of TrustCenter Service Provider, providing service providers the ability to easily and profitably offer secure mobile voice protection to the enterprise.
TrustCenter Service Provider gives managed service providers and wireless carriers an opportunity to service new markets and meet the growing enterprise demand for secure mobile voice communication. Intuitive and easy to deploy and operate, TrustCenter Service Provider can be installed at both service provider Network Operations Centers or at on-site customer premises, if required.
