SoliCall Updates Noise Reduction Technology

Israeli-based SoliCall (News - Alert), a provider of noise reduction technologies, has announced it added Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) and Call Monitoring to its latest release.

The new features will help make calls more pleasurable on both ends by ensuring unwanted background noise is removed during each call.

According to the company's Web site, their technology is different from other solutions because it offers personalized noise reduction by utilizing a personal algorithm that identifies the speaker's voice and extracts it from the audio signal. As opposed to focusing on noise, it focuses on the specific speaker's voice, allowing for a clearer call.

With the new AEC feature, SoliCall is able to specifically reduce the outgoing and incoming echo and improve overall voice quality.

In addition to improving quality, the company's PBXMate offering, which reduces background noise in VoIP networks supporting SIP, can now also monitor calls and write statistics of a call like jitter, noise leveland delay.

SoliCall also offers a free add-on for softphones that is compatible for Windows users and offers private control over the filtering of incoming audio; live graphs of audio (before & after filtering) and recording options (in WAV or in MP3 format).

Back in February, the company made headlines when it announced an enhanced version of SoliCall personalized noise reduction software for mobiles. The feature takes away any discordant or jarring sounds that can affect important phone calls taken on mobile phones in noisy or disrupting background situations.
